The third in the series of Old Fife books has another selection of old images of places throughout Fife, many of which have changed out of all recognition with the passing of time.
The images which make up this book come from the golden age of postcards which reached its height between 1903 and 1920, when this inexpensive way of communication soared in popularity. Cheap postage and several postal deliveries a day meant that messages could be sent to friends and families almost as quickly as emails and texts are today.
This selection of around 80 images, together with explanatory captions, includes Aberdour, Anstruther, Burntisland, Cowdenbeath, Crail, Culross, Cupar, Dunfermline, Dysart, Elie, Kinghorn, Kirkcaldy, Inverkeithing, Largo, Leven, and St Andrews.
